Questions
Does it cost extra?
No. Connecting an assistant is included in every Karma Compass plan. Your plan with Claude or ChatGPT is separate and is billed by them.
I cannot find where to add a custom connector
Your app’s tab above links its maker’s own steps. In Claude on a Team or Enterprise plan, only an owner can add one, and a free plan can add one custom connector. In a ChatGPT work workspace, an administrator may need to allow custom MCP servers first.
Karma Compass says to open it first
If you signed up from your app, Karma Compass needs you to open it once to set up your board and your seat. Open Karma Compass in your browser, then ask your assistant again.
What if I belong to more than one organization or board?
An assistant works in one organization, the one you choose when you connect. To use another organization, connect again and choose that one. If you sit on several boards in an organization, the assistant asks which board you mean.
Can it approve or vote for me?
It votes for you only when you tell it how, and it says first that the board sees who voted how. Approving, adopting minutes or adding someone to the board is one click by you in Karma Compass: the assistant prepares it and gives you a link to that screen. Anything it cannot undo, such as deleting a document, it asks you about first.
Who sees what my assistant reads?
The company that runs it, such as Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT, under that company’s terms. Karma Compass does not control that. Ask them whether your conversations may be used for training, and ask your administrator if you are unsure.
